Emmet is a gentleman and a scholar. He embodies the four pillars and the two watchwords more than any other Kappa Sigma I have ever met. Not only was he a big part of expanding our chapter from 13 to 60 brothers, he was the driving/motivating force behind Beta Omega becoming the first chapter in the country to have 100% RP at level 2.
I do not want to openly question the motivations of the SEC. However, the way in which Emmet was so unceremoniously relieved of his duties was disrespectful to him and the chapters under his supervision. Not only does that go against what we as a chapter stand for, but also what I thought the fraternity stood for.
If this is the level of transparency and open conversation that we can expect from nationals, it saddens me for all potential brothers. AEKD

Emmet has done more to help our house than anybody else representing Kappa Sigma nationals. From helping our Beta Omega chapter expand from 9 to almost 60 brothers in the last three years, to allowing our our mentally disabled brother Toddo to live with him, Emmet embodies the virtues and principles that define our brotherhood more than any current brother or alumni I have ever met. Our chapter has historically valued acceptance, open mindedness and the idea that our differences only serve to make us stronger. Emmet bleeds Kappa Sigma and the actions taken against him should make every brother who has read and studied the Bononia question the true motives of our national organization and whether these actions are in line with the rituals and histories we hold so dear. Emmet's character is unimpeachable. His dedication to Kappa Sigma and our district is shown by drastic increases in membership, ritual proficiency, and gentlemanly conduct. It is due to his efforts that chapters have been held to a higher standard of actions and that alumni stay involved. To remove him from his office as DGM is a slap in the face and does a disservice to the chapters underneath his oversight. I, as many other alumni have declared, will not be donate money or time to Kappa Sigma National Fraternity until Emmet is reinstated.
