As we all know, in Gas Department when working an emergency we only receive double time if we work with the electric department. Hopefully, by signing this petition we can get our contract letter changed to state that all overtime is doubletime during emergencies and we receive 16 hour minimums to mirror electric department. We need to stand up and fight together as one for our Gas Department.

I honestly never thought the momentum would pick up this fast but look at us now. It just goes to show how many of us are clearly sick of the current split between departments when we are out there in the same weather doing the same dangerous work.

16 hour minimums is only fair. we do the same work in the rain and snow as them
Its about time we get treated the same as the line guys. Dealing with leaks is just as dangerous as live wires.
We should get what they get. I thought a union was united & equal. Everyone should be equal across the board.
Let’s make our emergency efforts be as fair as the line department, we should be all one.
I feel that we work for the same company, we are in the same union the rules should apply for both parties.

I think it’s only fair for how many OQ’s that we have to stay on top of.

TOTALY AGREE. we are all under the same union contract so why is there a difference in pay when we go out on calls? needs to be fixed now.
