Emergency Community Support for the release of Terence Crawley under the Cares Act

Dear BOP Director and Courts,
I fully support the safe return of Terence Crawley, BOP Reg.# 14192-084 to our community. Recently the Attorney General
broadened the scope of the CARES ACT to include for consideration for being transferred to Home confinement, individuals
who have underlying health conditions which have not served ninety percent of their sentence.
Terence Crawley has made some errors in judgement and was sentenced as a Career Offender to 272 months. in prison.
He has currently been in prison for ten (10) years and three (3) months and should have only received a sentence similar
to his co-defendant of 151 mths.. Terence Crawley has been diagnosed with Bronchitis in 2004 while in the custody of the Maryland Department of Corrections and housed at the Maryland Correctional Training Center ("MCTC"). Recently in 2018 while being housed at FCI Fort Dix, he received lung x-rays which a doctor there diagnosed him as having "calcification
in the capillaries in his right lung.". These underlying conditions are serious enough to potentially turn his overly harsh
sentence to a death sentence if he is exposed to COVID-19. Terence is my friend and family and he has two beautiful
children who deserve to have their Father home with them, as well as his Mom, brothers, cousins, aunts, and uncles who love him dearly.
Terence release plan includes him transferring to his mothers house to be quarantined. Terence's Mom is a health professional that supervises a doctors office for over 30 years and is much more equipped to handle his care than the BOP is at this time, if he were to come into contact with COVID-19. Moreover, as a community we are prepared to support Terence
financially, spiritually, mentally, and physically after he is transferred to home confinement. Terence is not a danger to our
community. In fact, He has demonstrated that his crime which he has been convicted of was an error of judgment, by not committing any violent acts since his incarceration while being housed in some of the BOP most dangerous prisons. We want Terence safely released and returned to the community promptly. Furthermore, he has demonstrated that he is prepared to lead a positive life and be a great positive role model for the youth in the community. He has created a several non-profit programs which are apart of the Community Development Initiative of The judgment New Beginnings Project, Inc., a Maryland Non-Profit organization. So Terence will be hands on in the rebuilding of our community once this deadly worldwide pandemic is over. He also will have no problem being hired to work as a Car Salesman due to his General Motors Certification as an Internet Sales Manager.

The increase in support has provided the necessary leverage to finalize a formal request for legal counsel review. I have secured a meeting with a human rights advocate to discuss how we can expedite the review of the medical records in Terence Crawley's file.

Terrence is a wonderful young man and father. I am his godmother and have had the opportunity to know him quite intimately. Only if he could turn back the hands of time.... is the cry of his heart. Without the support of a father in his life to show him the way, like so many young innocent black boys, Terrence fell prey to the lies of this twisted society. Today he is a man, he has suffered greatly for every wrong choice he has made... he carries remorse and worries that the generational curse that fell on his life may fall on his sons life. I pray that he gets this opportunity to serve the remainder of his time In the safe environment that his mother can provide. I am rooting for you Terrence.
I've never met this young man personally but after investigating his charges and the amount of time served I believe he deserves a second chance. I feel that the amount of time he's served was enough to teach him a lesson. He deserves another chance to prove that people can change. I will keep you in prayer and pray that you allow God to guide you on your next journey at freedom.
Terance is from a large family who will provide a lot of support. Yes he has made mistakes but never a violent person. He has learned a lot while being incarcerated and during this time lost his grandmother. All of this had made him a better person and most definitely will keep him from making such errors that will put him back.
I am Terence's stepfather. I am sure he's learned a life lesson thru incarceration. I believe he will do nothing but positive things once he is released. He has my support in every way once he is home financially ,emotionally & in finding employment with the company I work for.
Terence is a nice young man. I have spoken with him on several occasions. He had wonderful ideas as to what he would like to do with his life but he had a couple of hard breaks. He has the heart and mind of an entrepreneur. He would be an asset to our community. To the young as well as the old. Please speak up on his behalf. Thank you
All I know is this man here has a word of knowledge, very kindhearted,caring,and loving guy I'm thrilled to say his brother and I made him a first time uncle which he us very excited about. All I hear is good things about him he is not a danger to our society and need him back home can't wait to meet you brother stay strong and keep your head held high..... #freeTerrance
I am here for our black men. We need our fathers and sons a chance to do better.
