My mother,Kay Pulzone, applied and acquired the millions in grant money to build this Recreation Center when she served as Councilwoman. It was not to be used as a daycare center, but for the youth, seniors and residents in between. Expand the hours...I volunteered my time on many occasions to allow the doors to remain open.

I agree with the hrs of apporation in the winter time it’s dark by 4pm and kids need a place to go play and stay off the streets.

I grew up in Elmwood Park and I wholeheartedly agree. My mother (deceased) was a member of the senior friendship club. She was part of the committee with former Mayor Mola responsible for the recreation center as it stands today.
