Please keep the class size smaller. It truly helps the students and teacher work together so that learning is the ultimate goal and outcome.

Eliot is a jewel in Tulsa's crown as a livable, loveable very American town. I had the honor of teaching at Eliot and of teaching my own son in the fourth grade.

An overcrowded classroom is not a conducive learning environment for students, nor does it give teachers time to give individual attention to all of their students. This would negatively affect teachers who are on pay-for-performance. Not only will they be laying off good teachers, but they'll also be screwing over the ones who stayed.

This is not okay. We need more teachers and really more funding. Why is Tulsa's education constantly deteriorating? We should be leading in education.

Let's put children, education and the future first. As an elementary school teacher with over 25 years experience I can guarantee that smaller class sizes, with qualified and caring teachers, produce successful students who love to learn. Our children, and excellent public education need to be a priority!

As a former public school educator and current college professor, I cannot support any staff reduction that drastically increases the class size and subsequent class load at the elementary level.
