You will eliminate this position at restaurants if you think employees will work for minimum wage, you see what is going on in fast food (striking for $15). You want to enjoy going out to dinner if you can't afford to tip than eat at home (you are waited on from start to finish nothing comes free).

I work for Max Fish in Glastonbury, CT. Taking our tips away and paying minimum wage basically takes my income away. I could never survive and support my family on less of an income. I am a stay at home mom and work part time at night. What is going to happen to my family dynamic if the law changes? I know that I will not be able to raise my son, that's for sure. We need to work together to keep our families together and get parents more involved, not take them away from their kids to make ends meet at home. This is a very difficult and demanding job and does not deserve a minimum wage. Not to mention that taking away the tip credit is not going to make going out to eat any cheaper. Restaurants are going to be charging a service charge but instead of it going to the server it's going to the restaurant. I don't think that's very fair!

This makes no sense in CT or any other state. Obviously made up from someone who has never worked in, or been around the industry

Keep tip credit. I feels tips are related to the level of service provided accordingly from the individual server... 99 Restaurant and Pub, Stratford, CT

Before reducing wages for tipped employees, consider reducing your own wage to reflect the same percentage reduction we will feel. You won't.

The Tip is based on the quality of the service provided... If you give great service the tip should be commensurate..."Not built into the check as a service charge"... I enjoy tipping for great service...

All this does is put more money in pockets of greedy owners. You will be significantly lowering the wages of a large population. These careers are personal service orientated and people work for their salary and like it that way.

This bill is anti American. Why are you looking to hurt some of the hardest working people in this state? What do you have against hard working people? Please just drop this initiative. Use your time to read history and the bill.or rights and Constitution. You've list your way spending time thinking this helps Connecticut. Do your job please. People trust you...
