Employee Wages- Elimination of Tip Credit - House Bill 7084

I work at bin 228 in hartford, and Treva restaurant in west Hartford.

This represents a huge pay reduction for wait staff throughout the state and it imposes a signifant financial burden to small business owners.

This legislation will threaten jobs without a doubt. It is very short sighted thinking. The state has already lost enough jobs.

Please don't pass this bill. Service industry professionals have developed skills and knowledge of food and wine over many years. Tipping maintains a quality workforce. Doing away with tipping will most certainly reduce the amount of skilled service professionals in the workforce.

This bill must have been created by Governor Malloy because all it's going to do is drive professionals in the service industry out of CT. Worst proposal I've seen in a while. Big mistake.

We would likely have to reconsider our tipping model and add extra money to our menu prices to compensate the servers at a hourly wage instead of tips.

I oppose this ridiculous interference. Bill 39 would create a whole new set of problems.

I tend bar and I would quit if tips didn't exist.

This would be devastating. Another way to further the disappearance of the middle class.
