The feedback regarding our request has been enlightening as many of you have shared similar experiences with professional correspondence becoming unnecessarily casual. While the silence from Dr. Downey continues it is clear that this language choice has created a shared frustration among colleagues. We remain committed to restoring a standard of professional tone in our written communications.

I wouldn't use awesomesauce at the beginning of a phrase. I wouldn't use awesomesauce in the middle of a phrase. I wouldn't use awesomesauce at the end of a phrase. I wouldn't use awesomesauce ever.
