Anything but more plastic. I've lived in places that have a single-use plastic bag ban and no one misses them. Not even a little bit!

It's so easy to stop using plastic bags when you shop. There should be a drive to educate the community and give out sustainable/reusable bags free of charge here in New Orleans. I guarantee that it would make an impact.

Single plastic use is ridiculous. On average a single use of plastic is used for 12 mins and takes hundreds of years to disintegrate. it’s running our oceans and putting many different species of ocean life at risk for extinction. Please consider this for our future.

so happy to find someone doing something here on this issue. Why do we have to lag behind other cities to wake up to what we are doing to the environment?

We need to act today with the future in mind, especially legislators who have been entrusted with forming our rules/guidelines.

I like when I visited San Francisco how they CHARGED for bags and so certainly didn't moan and groan because I brought my own bags and it took (essentially me) longer to bag them.
