We, the undersigned, strongly oppose plans for the erection of an electronic sign in front of the Barack Obama school at 707 Holly Ave., St. Paul, MN. We oppose it for the following reasons:
1. The sign will detract from the historic residential nature of the neighborhood and constitute and annoyance and eyesore to neighbors.
2. It would degrade already deflated property values
3. It constitutes a frivolous use of taxpayer money that serves no educational purpose.
4. A scrolling, electronic sign may cause traffic congestion or accidents in the neighborhood.
5. It will generate light pollution in a otherwise peaceful neighborhood.
