We save on our water bill, but then Eskom takes all the savings. We cannot win with the City Of Cape Town. Electricity tariffs are rediculous!! It must fall!!

I have always used under 350 units a month and never got the lifeline tariff. I rent my flat and cannot afford to pay more electricity on top of rent.

Down with this unfair increase. We should pay the same for electricity as the rest of the country. The city of Cape Town is once again putting profit before people and need to be stopped.

Tariffs is too high and too complicated to work out. Why do they have to ad all those calculated cost, rules, by-laws, ect. Companies are closing their doors because of the high tariffs. This means more job losses.

COCT, please show some respect to the people of CT and scrap this complicated, useless, thoughtless system that only makes sense to you... nobody else.
I want my life to be simple, I want to know the price per electricity unit and be able to budget for it. Simple as that!
To incorporate any hidden costs to the electricity bill and manipulating it based on all sorts of irrelevant criteria is a total disgrace and not acceptable...

It's time we take a stand against corruption and unfair practice. From R400 pm to R1300 for the same amount of units is unthinkable . And this over a period of 2-3years

It is becoming increasingly more and more difficult to afford basic foods and electricity. These current electricity tariffs are way to expensive, ordinary South Africans are struggling to keep the lights on.
Electricity tariffs must fall!
