We use to get free units every month from R50 then up till July this yr R25 per month. . Our units we use per month comes to 380 for R450..
After changing our tariff we started paying R500 more electricity per month.. Calculated to R900 for still the same units of 400.. no free units.
It's really hectic..

Eskom is a rip off. For R400 I get 160 units. It's ludicrous and it just carries on and on

100percent increase is just crazy. An increase is one thing.This makes it hard to survive for most.There is notjung that can justify this kind of increase in rates.We paying for Eskoms bonus.Very unreasonable.If you use gas take other precausions to minimise usage etc.fees must fall!!

It is becoming more and more intolarable to live under this DA led government. They are finding more and more ways to empty the pockets of ordinary citizens thus creating more poverty and hardship for the poor and vulnerable. Their indigent policy also does not help much because you basically have to be a church mouse to qualify.

I'm a single mom , I cannot afford to purchase electricity every second day .... what's the point of my fridge being full of food but I can't cook it for my kids. It's ridiculous.

Renting a property which was inherited by the owner not bought, now paying more than double on electricity than before. I can do without the "free" units, but the cost per Kwh is ridiculous

It is a shame that the consumer should break their backs for basic needs. Electricity is a must and we should not be forced to go back to parafine and candles. Lastly who are we paying the increase tarriffs for? Whose pockets will be lined?
