I am utterly disgusted by the exorbitant electricity tarrifs.The pensioners are struggling.The poor is getting poorer.

This is bleeding our people dry, we need the city of cape town to step up and prove where their allegiance lies. Sacrificing human dignity in exchange for printed paper will only lead to an increase in social instability. We need transparency and an open forum to the public to engage with the city on a way forward.

im a single mom renting a property. its just my son (2yrs) and myself. before the increase i could get by with R250 max R300 per month for electricity. which was still affordable but since the increase i spend R650 to R800 on electricity. i cant afford this. something has to be done about this. i feel robbed and cheated. especially because its just my son and myself and we use minimal electricity.

It's very rediculous the money we pay for electricity,am in kraaifontein buying municipality electricity...R200.doesnt last u even 5 days & the units flactuate all the time...some weeks R200 electricity gives u 85 units on a good day 101 units.ELECTRICITY TARRIFS MUST FALL.!!

I have been affected by the pathetic billing system.after paying estimation since 2011 (That is when the last bill arrived) . I have been issued a termination letter showing a balance of 292000.00. I feel this system needs to be scraped and all balances written off. Their figures are estimations and not actual. In my household there is no one during the day that using up to 100l a day.
I have reached a level of no return with them
