As a single parent family I find that everything just keeps going up but my salary stays the same. Basic necessities should be brought down to a more amount.

Electricity tarifs must go down, and only once all are legally connected, and paying may the tarif be adjusted.

This is absolutely disgraceful. I was not even aware of this increase and the basis used. What does other Provincial governments do? No public input?

This is scandalous and a ripoff. They have made electricity unaffordable for many people and families are suffering. This City works for WHO?

... you putting people under terrible stress just trying to make ends meet day in day out... not to mention SME that close their doors daily because of high costs. Help and assist people. ..don't milk them dry... with high electricity tariffs

The next thing will be that we will not be able to afford to have electricity. The cost of living is sky high, but salaries haven't gone up in 10 years. How are we supposed to live??

It's ridiculous that the people paying bonds is paying this exorbitant prices for electricity yet the people that has council or free housing pays way less

My electricity for the month was1200. I'm now paying 2200. Im a single mother with 3 children. This is outrageous.

AS my wife and I are both pensioners and I still have a bond of R6k per month to pay. Life is becoming a living hell. Eskom via the municipality is sending us to the dumps - soon I will be pushing a trolley scavenging the rubbish bins for scrap. Who wins - the politicians !!!! Joe Pas South Africa, Bellville

My electricity price per unit went from 0.97.7 cent plus 25 free units to R1.69 per unit, I've used less than R350 p.month, I stay in Pelican Park! This price increase does not work for me, coz my income is well below
