Electricity tariffs must fall

Electricity must fall, people been hit so hard, they can't afford food & yet electric hike is very bad idea, electric & water is a basic need... Think of the less fortunate people, where they have to look for money for electricity for their families, children need, babies need to warm their milk... Please let tariffs fall.

I cannot mKe ends meet and this additional expense is negatively impacting on my household.

I feel that the electricity pricing structure is just ridiculous and a total rip off, it is a daily essential and should be made affordable, why aren't people in rural areas paying for electricity there are so many illegal connections it's not even funny

I'm sick and tired of the high electricity prices. I have to decide between food and electricity. I can't have both. I am on disability and that's not much and do not cover everything.

The increases and tariff hikes are killing us. already with covid and looting people have lost their jobs with these hikes we are not making it. choosing between buying electricy and food is not fair. my poor elderly parents have bene struggling for months to get SASSA no luck no one gets back, no income we apply for the concession and guess what nothing came of it so now they forced to pay the full amount despite not having any income

Things got out of hand with all the increases.

There is no need for the city to be putting a mark up on the price of electricity. The city is robbing the poor. With all the lockdown which have been put in place, the city should have stepped up to help make life more affordable for its citizens.
