It is my hope to collect your e-signature for a petition to be presented to them, challenging the presidency of U-Croquet's appointed leader, Joshua "Jackhammer" Freeman. I do not feel that he deserves his title for a number of reasons (which are described more fully below) and it my intention to cast the matter to a vote, whereby U-Croquet members can choose our president for ourselves.

Reasons to elect a new president:

1. When he was appointed as president by the officers, it was done simply and out of necessity, because there was nobody else fit for the role. Now that the branch has grown, he is no longer the ideal choice.
2. Rather than shouldering the title humbly to the service and benefit of the members, he unrighteously holds its authority over our heads, claiming special privilege and power for himself.
3. He does not demonstrate the proactive leadership qualities required for this position. He has taken little initiative to organize and carry out croquet events during his tenure, instead riding the coattails of Commissioner Briscoe's efforts.
4. If not addressed, his reign will go unchecked and unbridled for who-knows how long? The system in place has not allowed for the say of the general membership to be heard, and we need a leader for the people, by the people- not an untouchable dictator.
