On the holiday in celebration of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding and on the subsequent anniversaries of same, I propose we have a traffic free day (emergency traffic only) between the hours of,say 8am to 8pm. People should be encouraged to cycle, walk, horseride and generally enjoy the country/town and city at a more leisurely and peaceful pace. Street parties and some sponsored events could take place (such as a marathon relay around the M25!) Provision could be made for people who need to get to work, to get in early, finish late and have extra holiday in lieu.
