Eldorado and Lamy Water Supply Crisis A proposed housing development on Rt 285 near the Eldorado - Lamy border is nearing final approval without any process of commentary from the Eldorado - Lamy community. The project will burden the already over utilized, Eldorado Water and Eldorado Well Water Supplies. If this project is approved, we can anticipate declining water quality and water pressure.  The proposal plans to add up to 39 closely spaced “Modular Home” residences. Under even normal use, 39 Modular Homes will place an enormous burden on our limited water resources. The addition of 39 prefabricated homes will strain our schools systems and prove disastrous for home values. The proposed project will use pre-fabricated, modular home structures which are not in keeping with established codes, quality or community covenants.  So far, those officials whose responsibility is to protect the community, have failed to act or even allow for the Eldorado - Lamy residents to voice their strong concerns.
