Keep Elbel for Everyone

Elbel is an important resource in our community. Please do not be short sighted when looking to sell the property.

Do not disrupt the habitat!

Please don't sell our park!

I hope that people think about how much nature is destroyed by people wanting to build things that are so unnecessary. Think about the future and keep nature the way it is meant to be. If people keep taking away nature there will be nothing left for future generations.

This is a ecological treasure- it should be preserved.

Dear Mayor, I know South Bend could use the money. I think we need green spaces also. Please reconsider.

Please work together with this community to preserve these 313 acres for the residents and future residents of this area.

We need all the public land we can get here in the South Bend area. What an asset this could be for our community. It is a unique environment that we should all be able to enjoy.

Do not let one of our treasurers be destroyed - you have an opportunity to stand up for future generations & the preservation of this incredible piece of property. Thank you.

Let the developers put their $$$ into the run down , demolition type properties if they want to make a more positive impact. Why do we keep selling prime natural areas to a business with deep pockets and continue to neglect impoverished neighborhoods.

Our community needs more park and recreation land not less.

I enjoy golfing @ Elbel. And, for forty years I've contributed thru green fees to maintain and improve the environment. It is irreplaceable!!

Please don't destroy this land with development.. It is valuable habitat for our ecosystem which wildlife, including US! We can only survive if other wildlife does. It shouldn't go to a private developer. Please be more Green and preserve this land..

Keep the recreation area & wild life sanctuary I is a pretty site.

I am a very regular user of Elbe and would HATE to see it lost to the City/County in a private transaction.

A land trust is a much improved idea over selling/giving the public land to private developers; it's important, nonetheless, to preserve park and green space for the enjoyment of the public.

This public area is a treasure which is a home to many rare and endangered wildlife. Shouldn't it be given the same importance as the Potawatomi zoo?

As a bicyclist I enjoy rinding through the area around Elbel Park, which is really one of the most "wild" places close to South Bend. It would be a sad day when this gets turned into yet another subdivision.

Enough development... Save these open spaces and the animals that call these wetlands hime
