Free up these funds for El Dorado County, President Biden. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell announced that additional federal disaster funding is available to eligible jurisdictions with Presidential major disaster and emergency declarations. The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022, H.R. 2471, authorized an increase to the standard 75% federal cost share to at least 90% for any emergency or major disaster declarations that were either issued or declared for incidents that occurred between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021.

Our family, as well as many of our neighbors, hosted fire evacuees for four weeks. It is heartbreaking to see those who lost their homes and beautiful community.

It's shameful to publicly promise assistance and do nothing to back it up. This was an entire community, of neighbors, family and friends who loved one another, looked out for eachother and were violently torn apart by this disaster.

The cabin I lived in for 3 1/2 years was lost in this fire. How is it that the community of Grizzly Flat can be denied FEMA (along with anyone outside of Grizzly Flat), while others are given basic FEMA assistance. The survivors of this fire deserve FEMA help!

Please assist our citizens in El Dorado County California President Biden. They are counting on you to overturn the FEMA decision so they can receive individual assistance. Thank you.

Would this be denied in a Presidential Election Year? In a hurricane-struck beach city that brings in the tourist $? What if it were Napa? Nope. It's El Dorado County - where regular people live, in a mud-term year.
