The Right to Vote for Egyptians Abroad

The Egyptian people are witnessing a defining moment in their history after the Great Egyptian Revolution on January 25, 2011. This petition is dedicated to allowing Egyptians abroad to have a right to vote in all incoming elections at Egyptian Embassies around the world. This is a huge step in achieving real democracy for Egyptians. The number of Egyptians abroad, including immigrants, students and others, amounts to 6.5M to 7M according to a 2009 estimate. Depriving Egyptians abroad of their right to vote is a huge loss, especially in these historic moments. For a free and democratic Egypt, please sign the petition below to allow Egyptians abroad to vote.

We, the Egyptian people, demand that Egyptians living abroad should be given the right to vote in all incoming elections at Egyptian embassies and consulates around the world, using their passports or national identification cards.
