Presently, most of the Primary Health-Care facilities in Nigeria lack the capacity to provide essential health-care services, in addition to having issues such as poor infrastructure, inadequate equipment, poor distribution of health workers, poor quality of health-care services and lack of essential drugs.

RFID US- African Foundation in collaboration with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency/ Federal Ministry of Health is carrying out a study on the use of RFID Technology at the National Primary Healthcare Development Centers in Nigeria to ensure effective and efficient healthcare service delivery.

This study is expected to determine the following;

i. To assess the extent of the problems faced by Primary Healthcare managers in patient identification and management;

ii. To assess the extent of the problems faced by Primary Healthcare in medical equipment and asset management;

iii. To evaluate the level of safety measures in place to protect health workers and medical personnel;

iv. To determine the measures taken to curtail further occurrences of challenges being faced by the Primary Healthcare personnel;

v. To gauge the readiness in adoption of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as intervention for tracking and identification purposes to combat pre-existing issues.

We encourage you to sign this petition for the development of efficient and effective primary healthcare delivery system in Nigeria.
