The exhaustion is setting in but seeing this momentum grow makes the long nights feel worth it. We are up against a system that wants to stay stagnant and your engagement proves that people are finally refusing to look away.

My kids deserve to see themselves in their teachers. This is so overdue.
Long Island needs to wake up and see that the way things are working is hurting the community. Fix the zoning issues.
Living here for 10 years and its clear the schools dont reflect the families. We need change now.
ABOUT TIME. Its ridiculous how disconnected the staff is from the actual kids in the classroom.
This seems like history repeating it self. The sad part is you want to give the children test and expect them to pass when they don't even have the correct information from the start. For example putting an American teacher in a class full of Spanish children and expecting them to know all the answers, or putting a cook in a wood shop thinking because that person masters cooking it could teach everyone. Some people have no idea of the job they applied for so mistake after mistate others have to suffer until they make it right again.
Great idea we definitely need more diversity and representation
