My parents already sacrifice and invest a lot to ensure I'm educated, the taxes that are being put on it is ridiculous and I will not stand for it. If you truly care about the progression of your nation you would give tax payers a break.

It is time Guyanese stand up for their rights. The public education system needs to be improved and show results starting at NGSA level not 1000 children success or 12000. Improve the public education before u charge VAT on private tuition

This is outrageous. We are paying enough taxes for the Ministers to get fat salaries and allowances to afford to send their children to private schools. What about our children? Look what is happening in the public schools right now with the videos in circulation. Not everybody going to private schools with land cruisers, some children are catching bus or walking to these schools.

Sending my child to private school does not make me a rich person. I chose the private educational system simply because the public system was failing my friends and family. Like all parents we want the best for our kids and penalizing us with a 14% vat for that desire is unfair

many of us make great sacrifices to send our children to private schools. All the VAT says insensitively, is sacrifice some more. Not all those who have children in private schools are wealthy.

Fix the public school system first before you go after the heart of parents (i.e. the future of their children) by taxing their hard earned money. Education is not a luxury and we are making a sacrifice for this basic necessity of our children.
