The development of our children and youth should be the highest priority for Guyana and, never be used to generate revenue. The vat would be so wrong especially in a developing country like ours. The least the Government should do to show that it cares is to remove the vat.

We just can't afford to pay vat on our school fees. It's a must that our children have to go to school we still supply every thing these kids have to get for school by paying vat on those items but come on enough is enough.....

Private schools support the country's development in supplying Human Resources and indirectly reduces the burden on the government to finance those children. Then why increase the cost for parents when they should be given incentives instead.

There should be no Vat on education. People already struggle to pay for it, now to make it more expensive will result in less persons pursuing education.
