I choose private schooling for my child because I know he will always have a teacher in his class, he will always be engaged in academic activity and his environment will be conducive to learning.

Education oughta to be free cause there's so many single parent and families that can't afford to buy school supplies for their children. They are so many smart children out there but because of lack of finance there can't further studies

In every nation serious about education, concessions are given to encourage people to obtain an education. If the government wish they must absorb the cost of the vat. Don't let the parents have to be burdened with it

It's already a sacrifice to send my children to private school; the 14% increase would only add to the burden of monthly expenses borne by myself and others who work very hard to provide a better life for our children.

Remove vat from private school fees. Education is the key to success.

The idea that if people can afford to send their children to private school they can afford VAT on fees is as wrong as the idea that if people can afford cars they can afford high parking fees. I know parents who struggle to pay school fees because of problems, including teacher shortage, even at the "top" public schools, just as I know people who struggled to buy cars in order to use them to make a living, from driving taxi to using them as a space to cook (yes) and sell food, to sell shoes etc. Do your homework so that your tax money comes from those who can afford it!

Education should be tax free, how can a nation develop if the thing that can take us there is out of the people's reach?

Come on Mr Granger, have a heart, these kids are the same ones you will need to make your plantain chips and cassava chips that you said will create thousands of jobs, have a heart old weary soldier man, it's education we are talking about for Christ's sake
