If Guyana is to grow, an educated population is needed and this will never be achieved if one have to pay tax on fees.
Some families struggle just to send their kids to school already now, what happens when the now have to pay more?

May good sense prevail and the heads in government remove this obstacle to allow their growing economy to be ready with EDUCATED locals to reap the benefits of their countries development and not allow educated foreigners to have to be the leaders.

My real concern is for the middle income family making a real sacrifice to give their child a good education. I am disappointed in the Finance Minister's remark that "public schools are free" in response to this new tax burden.

I am a single parent making a huge sacrifice to send my children to a private institution simply for a better education and to maximize their potential. This will definitely be disastrous given my current budget. I'm against VAT on education, period!
