Education for ALL Winnacunnet Students - Knock out the discrimination toward Seabrook and the entire WHS student body it has no place in our school

I am all for this I being from Hampton and having a son and fiancé from Seabrook am appalled at the way Seabrook children are treated and looked down upon at the high school I graduated from there in 2008 and even then it was horrible for Seabrook students. No child should be judge because of where there from or what there towns reputation I only hope this changes before my son get to high school.

It's time to stop all discimination towards any student, we should all be working together to make Winnacunnet a school of Acceptence and Education not Ignorance and discimination ! Together it can be done ! but all Parents, Students and Towns have to work together as a TEAM to make this happen !

I am so proud of all who have shared their heartfelt experiences while attending WHS. Now I will tell you what I experienced. I played for the Seabrook Lions Football Team all the surrounding Town's said we would not amount to anything. We walked away with a season of 166 points scored and no other Team scored not one point against us. We were the Division champs. Members from that team had scouts looking at them for the big leagues and went on to do many great things but not at WHS. They became firefighters, police officers, business owners, and WHS missed out on several championships becuase they didnt have any of us. I fought hard for my chance to play football and basketball. They knew how good we were and they did everything to rid of us. I went to basketball practice with Scott Casassa and I forgot my sneakers that day and bam I was let go. I struggled to stay in a school where the teachers didnt want me. I decided to volunteer to join the Army and fight for my Country and keep in mind this was during the Vietnam War but anything was better than spending one more day in the whole. This was back in 1972 and the negative stigma is still alive. The kids from other Towns loved us mostly girls from other Towns were crazy over the Seabrook boys. I hope that we meet our goal of 1000 signatures and put a stop to the ill treatment against Seabrook kids. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you brave people that have signed the petition.

I attended WHS from 86-89 before transferring to a private school in VA. I was in homeroom with many people from Seabrook. I liked them, they are/were no different from the rest of us. I remember the pit, bit don't remember it being for Seabrookers, I sat there...I also remember that it was almost tabu to date/talk to a Seabrooker and I didn't know what to do. I grew older and became friends with many people from Seabrook that I wish I knew in HS it had the opportunity to know. I moved away from Hampton for a while and came back with 3 adopted kids....my son graduated WHS last year. He had many friends from Seabrook and said this thing I experienced stopped. I don't remember teachers in the 80's treatment ng kids different. But my complaint was I think they pass anyone in most schools now and then just to get them through and not hurt their feelings. This raises kids who think they can do just enough to get by... I hope this isn't happening in this day and age but I am all for an investigation. Treat everyone fairly and with respect.

I saw it while attending. Looking back, I can't believe it was the treatment was tolerated. To have a specific place where kids from Seabrook had to sit called " the Pit" was so discriminating! No one should feel that way.

I never attended, But I have heard the horror stories, of how our children are treated. Having children about to enter the school. Something has to be done now. If my child falls behind because they are singled out because of the town the live in. They better hope I can not prove it. I will file so many lawsuits. They will not have a budget to operate with!!

I was told by a teacher when he met my son that he thought he was another punk from Seabrook but said he was wrong.I could'nt belive he said it out loud.

They hate us brokers always did and always will I don't care what they say it's true I went to school there and my family went to school there,this needs to change.Go get um cuz I'm right beside you all the way.

it happend when my mom was there, it happend when i was there, it happened when my daughter was there and now its happening with my youngest there. IT'S TIME TO STOP SAU 21 AND IT'S GENERATIONAL IGNORANCE! MOSTLY FROM THE TOWN OF HAMPTON

I lived it, I fought for my kids to be treated fairly and I hope it ends before my grandchildren have to deal with it.

I've lived it, witnessed it and heard it. It needs to stop now before my children will ever enter this school.

Time to take our High School back we pay the biggest share and it is time our kids get the best education they deserve it!

I hope this ends soon im saddened it still is going on.I cant really put my finger on why this keeps happening to our children.I think they need some house cleaning over there starting at the top.I can remember back in the late 70's early 80's it was happening,they didn't bother me maybe because I have a well known family?but I saw allot of bulling of Seabrook kids I would always stick up for my home town kids and I still will.

I was employed at Winnacunnet for approxiamtely two years and there most certainly is discrimination perpetrated upon the Seabrook children. It is not every teacher or staff member, but even one is too many. It needs to stop.
