Please allow them to return to school next week. The children’s mental health depends on it. Listen to the medical professionals, not the politicians. If not all of them, but at least let the High School return next week. They are old enough to understand wearing masks and good hygiene. These are the formative years.

Let the children go back to school. If nothing else we take it week by week, not an automatic 6 weeks. Of course, I want the situation to return to school to be safe, but our kids will differ educationally if they continue to learn in an environment they are accustomed

BSS and VMA parent here. Please listen to the doctors (CDC and AAP) and not the politicians or teachers’ union. There is no way to completely eliminate risk for these kids, but the safest place right now for them is in school with their peers. The administrators and teachers have done a great job already getting ready for this year. Let them teach, and let the kids learn.

Medical experts have continually stated it is safe and their recommendation for children to be educated in schools, even with COVID pandemic. Our schools have developed a safe school environment for our children, aligned with CDC, federal and state requirements. Please let them continue to live and go to school versus shuttering them in homes again. Their mental state along with their desire to learn outweighs the potential risks of COVID with all the protocols in place. Please give our children this chance!

Keeping kids home, especially those with depression, has been so hard on their mental health. Learning online doesn’t teach them anything. I switched my daughter from online public school 2 weeks before this all started last school year. If they must stay home, tuition help would be nice. We’re paying thousands of dollars for the same education we can get for $500.

SPX family - my children need and want to be back in school. St Pius X, Jill Lonneman and Betsy Greenwell have done an OUTSTANDING job in preparing for the 2020/2021 school safety. They and we are ready! Please stand strong in what is right and send our kids back!

I sent an email to you already, through your website, explaining the importance of the kids getting back to in person learning. The school’s protocols are probably a little more stringent than my work and I’m in healthcare. We go to church, we go to restaurants, we go to sports events and amusement parks. It only makes sense for schools to be open as well. Please - do what’s right for the kids.
