Let the Children Go Back to School

My children are ready to go back and need to be back. They need the instruction, support, and guidance from the teachers.

Do the right thing!! Our kids need to be in school!

Open the school, if a parent not comfortable they have option to home school.

I am going to be a senior and I do not want to spend my last year if high school at home.

Safety is our concern and we feel safe with the diocese plan for in person instruction. Paying tuition to homeschool will not work for this family

Hello. I know this is a world that is scary and new. Parents, teachers and students are all worried about what will happen if students return to school. I feel that mental health of students is in a sensitive place right now. This isolation is so hard on them. School gives them a little sense of normalcy. Some students do not learn well virtually. For the mental health and for students who do not learn well virtually please allow them to return to in person class.

The best marketing move on the planet for Catholic schools is to open up. This move will bolster enrollment for the better part of a decade and beyond! And it’s the right thing to do!

An in-person learning environment where COVID safety precautions are followed is the right thing for our children. Daycares have been open since June, and there aren’t exponential increases in COVID cases from those sources.

Let the parents choose the best way to instruct their kids for school. Parents know the risks and they're not going to put their kids in harm's way if they don't feel comfortable. But it should be the parents' choice.

Delaying the opening of school by a few weeks is not going to eliminate the virus. We need normalcy in our lives and our children deserve an education.

2 infectious disease chiefs and a medical director of 3 local hospitals all stated last week in an interview, they would send their kids back to school, and that there is more damage done by not sending them. The American Pediatric Association stated a while ago that kids need to be in school, and they are low risk group for the virus. The schools have worked very hard to implement the CDC safety guidelines to protect the students and staff. I am not sure who is paying off Beshear to make statements that are not supported by medical experts. Unless he knows we will have a vaccine by Sept. 28th, I am not sure what will change by then to make it okay to go back to in person classes, by his standards.

Our kids need in person education. We cannot let them take our education away. Thank you.
