Final supporters
We are petitioning the Covington, KY Diocese and all affiliates to allow our children to earn an education and to NOT follow the Governor’s recommendation of delaying in school instruction until 9/28/2020 . As parents, we choose to align our children within this community to protect and nurture our values as Christians and to preserve their Freedom of Education. The right for parents to have their children educated in accordance with their religious and other views, allowing groups to be able to educate children without being impeded by the nation state, is a freedom we will NOT relinquish. We are requesting in person instruction to begin next week, as planned, and implemented as each school has communicated to their perspective communities.

My own kids are losing precious time in the classroom every day we wait. We are almost at the one hundred signature mark and hitting that threshold will help us demand a serious conversation with the diocese.

The children need in person instruction for their educational, spiritual, social, and emotional growth. The recommendations set by the state and diocese can be effectively implemented to provide a safe environment for both students and faculty.
I feel good about the measures St. Agnes has in place, requiring distancing, hand hygiene, masking and routine cleaning, all the proper precautions to ensure safety. With these measures, I feel the best learning for my first grader will be in person to start the school year.
How can churches be open but not schools? If you think churches are suffering because of the lack of collection money, the same will happen to schools if people start thinking about how much they’re paying for tuition and not getting in person education.
Kids need to be in school. They are struggling emotionally, some of them physically and the youngest (K-3) are not doing well with virtual learning. Our neighboring states have higher case numbers, rates and deaths and yet they are returning to school.
Please!!!! How are families who have both a working mother and father and PAY for TUITION suppose to do this!!!!!!! We will be forced for one of us to quit our job then forcing us to pull out of the Catholic School system!!! Please let our kids go to school

An in-person learning environment where COVID safety precautions are followed is the right thing for our children. Daycares have been open since June, and there aren’t exponential increases in COVID cases from those sources.
