I'm a sex-repulsed lesbian greysexual and would love it if schools could also say that it's ok to never want sex. Because everything in today's culture is so sexualized, I felt like I was a freak who needed therapy before I discovered the asexual spectrum since I had only felt sexual attraction to two people in my entire life.

I, a lesbian teenager, believe that lgbt+ teens shouldn't have to go to the Internet to learn about themselves. Schools should definitely begin to do this. I need it and so do my friends. So yeah

It's frustrating to me to see people who don't understand the LGBT community shut them out and act prejudiced for no apparent reason. We should do everything we can to end this stupid animosity.

LGBTQ+ students need health education just as much as straight, cisgender students. I can't tell you how many times I've had a conversation with a queer person who didn't know how safe sex worked with two people of the same sex.

I am currently a student in 7th grade. I know more about the LGBT and BDSM communities than many people I have met, some who are twice my age. Everything I have learned, I've learned from my friends, and my own personal research. As a queer teen in a group of queer teens, I find it highly upsetting that the entirety of my health education has been basic puberty informaton, marijuana, and how to be healthy. There is no education about gender or sexuality, depression, and other problems that many people my age face. Many of my friends are trans, genderfluid,depressed or questioning there sexuality. The health education curriculum needs a full revision, and soon. Sign this petion if you agree!

This is a great idea. My college has a LGBT+ Initiative to help any students/faculty but it should start earlier than that so more kids and people don't feel so alone and more work is done to stop bullying/discrimination.

Schools really do need to understand and accept LBGT+ students. I think part of the reason it took me until I was 26 to realize what I felt is because of the stigma attached to LGBT+ and bullying in middle school + high school. Maybe I would have realized earlier, and started changing my life for the better instead of living in sadness all of the time.

Schools really do need to understand and accept LBGT+ students. This is really important, possibly life saving.
A lack of education leads to alienation.
