This is a petition for the City of Edmonton, to take a look at making fair parking regulations for Edmonton Motorcyclists. The current 2 Downtown free parking zones are overwhelmed and full by 7am.

Current Edmonton Parking regulations state that any vehicle in public parking is subject to the exact same fare, meaning a truck and trailer is required to pay the exact same fee as a motorcycle.

Avg Family Car length = 177 inches

Avg Motorcycle width = 30 inches

5.9 Motorcycles per car length. By numerical values only we would like to see the parking toll for motorcycles decreased to apx. 1/6 of what we currently are required to pay.

Free Parking is greatly appreciated by Edmonton motorcyclists and would like the City to continue to expand upon the current program (that hasn't changed in a number of years).
