It has been supported by various studies that writing with hands make brain remember as brains has to coordinate eye and hand movement. Typing on computer doesn't have this advantage. I think computer should be used but main style of learning should still be paper based.

I agree . Kids are using computer for all their homework . Lot of strain on eyes and constant strain on brain due to time spent in front of glaring screen all the time . Please reduce chrome book time for better kids !!

There should be a balance with learning using books and technology. Kids should spend more time writing in books during the earlier years(elementary school) and progressively moved towards using technology during the middle school. I would suggest (80:20 ratio)of using Writing books and technology during Elementary and 50:50 during Middle school.
The earlier years of using books would go a long way helping kids.

My son is in 2nd grade and I am not happy with he spending 5_6 hrs of time on Chrome book in school and home. He doesn't want to play with friends anymore but with Chrome book.

Please make them write on paper. Getting 80% of work done on Chrome is not good for these young kids. Not only eye problems it is too much of radiation which gets into their body at very young age.

I do agree that introducing technology in school at such early age is not at all good ,i dont understand what was wrong in using textbooks note books and pen /pencie,as a parent I always have this concern, at home already kids are spending lot of time on different kinds of technology,at least it should not be used in schools.
using technology in modern days is good ,but ,please don't involve kids in it .let teachers be teachers and kids be kids.
I don't want kids education to depend on technology,please make them more independent not dependent on technology
