On the 24th and 25th May 2014, GSi Events organised the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. A weekend of races for all ages and abilities, ranging from 1.5km to the full marathon.

Many people entered the races searching for a new PB and the Edinburgh Marathon promotes itself as the fastest course in the UK.

After the event many people were looking for the list of results so that they could compare their times against the person behind them, the person they were chasing in the final metres only to find that GSi Events aren't publishing the results!

What does this mean to the runners? Why is it important?

Many runners use websites such as Power of 10 and RunBritian to keep track of their performances, they can only do this if results are official published. If the results aren't published then the race doesn't count. Months of training, possible Personal Bests achieved and no proof of it.

Please sign this petition to let GSi Events know that they can't treat their customers like this. All the runners paid for the event and they expect a level of service which in many cases GSi Events failed to deliver.

Not only did they not publish the results, they ran out of goodie bags and T-shirts at the end, even though all runners where asked what size of t-shirt they would like when entering the race.

The EMF weekend is not the only event GSi Events organise so be warned!

All we ask is that our results are published on the internet as required by the IAAF rules and the the runners needs are met first before the needs of a organisations pocket!
