I have been reading through the messages you all are leaving and I am truly humbled by your passion for this cause. It is clear that this is not just my concern but something that weighs on so many of you as well. I have chosen for many years not to buy fresh food from supermarkets. I find the waste situation deplorable and needs urgent attention and supermarkets taking responsibility
It is more important that food is cheap and available than it is pretty and to waste food because it is deemed UGLlY is stupid and immoral
This waste is diabolical, apart from the millions of starving people, this is also putting our crop growers out of business
when I managed a Horse Sanctuary I spotted a Massive pile of Carrots and I drove in and he said HELR YOUSELF which I took two trailer loads per week Supermarket rejects a Crying shame
It's shameful the way supermarkets throw away food that is still edable, why dont they give it to children's and nursing homes.
Please don't throw food away. There are many hungry people. You will be held accountable.
Disgraceful. It's time to hold these massive businesses to account for their disgusting practices.

as a long time supermarket user,i would like to be given a choice between higher price normal shape veg and cheaper price for miss shaped which bigger supermarket is going to give the shoppers the choice?
