Say "NO" to open pit mining in Edgewood Terrace

T.R Projects Ltd. has applied to develop an open mine to extract 1000000 cubic meters of gravel beside Edgewood Elementary School. The proposed project is a major industrial operation that poses significant risks health, safety, and well-being of the residents in this area, and especially children who attend school and play in and around the proposed mining site.
It will create significant disruption, with noise, dust and increased traffic. In addition to the detrimental impact on the well-being and quality of life for the residents of the area, the proposed mining project will remove the trees and vegetation, thereby impacting the environment and having a detrimental impact on the wildlife that inhabit this area.
We believe that this project is not in our community's best interests, it is not in the interests of the nearby residents and, clearly, is not in the interests of the 220 elementary school children who attend Edgewood Elementary School.
