EDEN PRAIRIE TAXPAYERS ASK FOR A BETTER FACILITIES PLAN
We, the concerned taxpaying citizens and stakeholders residing in the Eden Prairie School District, hereby present this petition to the Eden Prairie School Board to respectfully request that Board members Carol Bomben, Suzanne Kutina, Chuck Mueller and Kim Ross rescind their vote for the K-6 facilities plan presented by Superintendent Melissa Krull on February 23, 2010. We object to the K-6 facilities plan for a number of reasons, including the following: We want the Board to revisit the many options available for our facilities without being limited by the Superintendent's parameters. We want a transparent process which the Board oversees, and which allows time to build understanding and support in the community. We want a facilities plan that is thorough and fiscally responsible, and that provides clear educational benefits for all students. We are concerned that moving forward with this plan will endanger the organization's public image and credibility, and will have a negative impact on our district's financial state and our property values.
