The ECE computer labs should be provided as an important resource for students to access software, school email, and to complete course assignments and projects. The majority of the outside-of-the-classroom learning comes through the ability to directly interact with others working on the same or similar problems. Coding and the computer simulations are no different. Therefore, Computer Labs are vital to our education and the overall purpose of our major.
This may affect every engineering student in the future. Spread the word to your friends and forward this information to everyone.
This is not a petition to generate animosity towards the Chairman, Dean, Faculty, or Staff. This is a petition to voice out your opinions and concerns about not having the ECE labs anymore. Please share why these labs were important to you.
This Petition was presented at the town hall meeting with the ECE Chairman Thursday, September 22nd and his office hours Friday, September 23rd. It was also presented to the Dean during his office hours Tuesday, October 4th.
We are now working to pass legislation in SEC and Student Government that will help bring back the labs.
