I think the idea of PlayFirst to focus only in the development of Mobile Platforms is so bad: They're leaving too much PC/Mac users without support. Also, they're bringing some PC/Mac-only titles to their extinction, and I think ECC could be one of them. Dave deserves the rights to keep the sources of ECC, if PF doesn't need it anymore. My idea is to start a petition (Using Avaaz-like online tools) directed to PF, asking for the rights of the game be returned to Dave Gilbert. No more. No less.

UPDATE: Dave Gilbert, the man behind Wadjet Eye Games, said he has the source code of the game. The only one thing he doesn't own is the Intellectual Property Rights.

With your signature you can change positively the future of the Emerald City Confidential series, Wadjet Eye Games could continue the game with awesome sequels. Lots of sucesses made by this game studio strengthen my arguments.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about this small piece of game history. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I truly never imagined this would gain such traction.

Emerald City Confidential is one of the best games that i ever played. The story, characters, the background settings, the background music, the talented voices of all the charcters in this game is what makes it a great great game. This game needs a sequel. I am also sure that Petra would agree. :-)

Please allow Dave to have the Intellectual Property rights. ECC is one of the best games created and a sequel deserves to be made!

A sequel to ECC would be great. Dave has shared what the puzzles/adventure in Gillikin and Munchkin countries would've been like, and it seems some of his ideas were put to waste.
