It is known that going down the one-way staircase by the main lobby is prohibited during passing. This rule is sensible because it keeps people from going in opposite directions and colliding into each other. Injury prevention and safety are definitely respectable. However, as students are prevented from going down these stairs by hallway monitors, teachers confidently walk down during passing. It is unfair that teachers have the special privilege of going down the stairs without facing consequences. Us students hope that by signing this petition, we can easily resolve the injustice surrounding the one-way staircase. If students cannot go down, then teachers shouldn't be able to either.
