I am an eBay buyer, but I can really truly believe eBay are manipulating the DSR ratings. I believe this as eBay removed a listing from my purchased items listings in order that I could not leave well deserved negative feedback. The seller had sent me the wrong item, then messed me around big time. The eBay seller has appalling feedback and keeps the items private on the feedback record, so buyers cannot see what items are receiving negs/neutrals. I wish I'd checked the feedback before buying.
I have proof to back up my allegation that eBay are manipulating feedback. I have all messages on file, including the ones to eBay. Please contact me anyone who is interested.
I am also planning to pass on my experience of eBay openly manipulating feedback when it suits them to BBC watchdog program, as I believe the Watch Dog program needs to be altered to this new trend in eBay fraudulent behaviour.
The seller was a Business seller who makes eBay lots of money. So yes I believe eBay are defiantly manipulating feedback when they can, and when ever it suits their interests.

My dsr for shipping gets bumped down to 4.8 from 4.9 even when there is no change in the number of ratings left. One day it's 4.9, the next 4.8, with no other change at all.

They are shorting the number of items sold over the judging period for TRS. I estimate that 14-16 items are not listed in the trend data, but are listed in my sales reports. This lowers my DSR average, and lost me TRS.

Same thing happens to me every month like clockwork. My rating dips right before the 20th and then magically recovers a week later. Total scam to keep us from getting the discount.
