Orange County Florida Mayor and Commissioners,
We all the undersigned Citizens of the East Orange County, Florida and Friends, hereby would like to express our sincere feelings to you about the following:
(1) For the past several decades, the Orange County Administrations have not made any sincere effort to upgrade the status quo of the East Orange County. They have continued to maintain the image it has acquired in the past, that of the storage of car wrecks and of the used part business area. They have not made any effort to spruce up the image and infrastructure of the area, nor have they made an effort to bring investments into the area, or to create employment for the residents.
(2) Compared to other parts of Orange County, the status of the East Orange County residents is that of the most neglected status. At the expense of the East Orange County residents, the past County Administrations have directed in County Revenue to upgrade investments in the other parts of the County. Now is the right time to focus on the East Orange County area and upgrade the status of its residents and the infrastructure and to bring in business investment and create employment for the residents.
(3) We hereby DEMAND the FAIR SHARE of development efforts and funds by the Orange County Administration and the investment strategy towards creation of jobs and to attract businesses to create and hire East Orange County residents exclusively.
(4) We also demand that low cost housing be built in East Orange County, and to offer a waiting list exclusively for the residents with possible rental assistance. Also there should be consideration to give assistance by waiving certain stringent rules and regulations to qualify, as many residents who may have gotten into some minor problems in the past which may hinder their qualification for the low cost housing. They are asking for a second chance.
In view of the foregoing, we all, the residents of East Orange County and friends have signed and provided our full names and addresses as well as phone numbers for your reference.

I have lived in east orange county since 1988 has gotten worse and when you say you live in bithlo people get a shameful look on face

I agree and feel the development would bring much more business to me as well as others who live in the east orange county area. I also hope that the development be kept to investor who live in the area and aren't soured out to companies who are not from our area or are from out of state or from a foreign origin. The east orange county business are suffering. We always traveling way far to get our revenue. Its not helping our community or the business here in Bithlo. In respect to the growing construction in our area.

In the 30 years of being in Bithlo, my family has enjoyed a quiet rural lifestyle. It’s not an easy life because services are generally distant but it’s the choice we made by living in a rural area. But now with all the overdevelopment and destruction of the wetlands we, residents of Bithlo, are being used for storage of County maintenance vehicles, junkyards and now an upcoming landfill. It is wrong and blatantly taking advantage of hard working families who through no fault of there more economically challenged.
