This petition will require students in the state of California to also study earth science in school. This will benefit students and residents of California because it will allow them to better understand fault lines and even possibly some structural engineering. Since earthquakes are common in California, it makes sense for students to study earth science, geology, and some basic structural engineering in order to make better decisions during the time of an earthquake emergency.
