We the undersigned agree with and support the following:
-The early elementary school years are an important time in a student's life, both for academic and personal development.
-Individual attention during these years is a fundamental piece of high quality education.
-A class size of 24 creates an environment wherein individual attention is lessened and the class itself may be more difficult to manage.
-Therefore, the Moraga School District should adopt policies that ensure manageable classes and individual attention for all students. Feasible measures include, but are not limited to capping class size for TK–2nd grade to 20 students or increasing aide time for classes with 20-24 students.
My oldest struggled so much in a crowded room because he was too quiet to speak up. Needs to change for my younger two.
