Also the non-compliance letter states that they need to renegotiate the contract with the landowner, thing that I am pretty sure will not happen. When they sign the lease contract with the landowner, it was based on the projection of the number of students, which in the first year was supposedly be 940 and that number was going to increase every year. Well, they have the same number of students or less than the first year, that means they can't afford the facility.

We have no principal. We have not been officially informed by the school. Instead the staff is being forced to re iterate their curriculum directly to parents.

well, rather than delete the above comment i will own up to say you are correct tegarding the letter of non-compliance. I don't know if pbc school board will shut the school down, but there has been mismanagement, although I knew of it, I wasnt aware to the extent. I contacted the IG and they didnt admit to any investigation.

there are other schools you can 'change' your kids to. that is your freedom! excercise it!

lets not forget you pay $0 for your child or children to attend. The least you can do is contribute with school uniform money or anything else the school or Mr Blount make create income from. Seems like quite a bit of entitlement to publically complain about this. It no secret either, you're stating the obvious.

Fact: the Inspector General does not oversee charter schools. There is a charter school department for this. Where is the proof you mention? post it online and post a link here. I'd like to see this letter of non compliance. Post links to documents if you want to make claims like this. If your kids are no longer at EAA then why are you posting your false claims here?

If you truly meant this -that God's will be done- you would not be pushing your own agenda. This is clearly tour will. You are using emails likely obtained when parents are CC'ed in error on school emails and not campaigning for your demands to be met. That's saying it nicely and not assuming your involvement with the school is solely as a parent and not someone who had access to emails. You have the option to take your kids elsewhere, but instead you are choosing to create drama. That being said, I can empathize with your frustration, but this approach wont accomplish much. Your support is in this matter is less than 1%. Your intentions aside, this is only putting other kids' education at risk, which is quite self fish. Clearly you have too much free time.

Well I have read all the comments and as a parent who has a kids at the school I do have a lot of concerns on the operation of the school. I am a big on education and believe in the concept of Blount vision due to the fact that kids has a lot of talent and we need to tap into these gift and talent our kids has. My child education is what matters most not all the school politics or poli-tricks. I an not satisfied with the way the school is being run. The school and the teacher are not on top of the curriculum. This school is too unorganized, and laid back if you ask me but it is the people in the school. They had the whole summer plus two years of experience and they don't have it down. I have been waiting for a 504 plan from the beginning of the school year and my child has not gotten one as yet. There counselor are dropping out like flies. Come on! Sure my girls love the school but it is in the best interest of the kids I am concern with not if they like the school or not. The bottom line is that I EXPECT the school and the teachers to do what they say they are going to do and it has not happen. It is not fair to the children. I should of paid attention to the warning sign on the first day of school when one of my daughter teacher was not even in the classroom on the first day and the kids were all waiting out side of the class room and she was some place else. Frustrated!!! And my 3rd grader is behind as well because she attended 2nd grade at EAA as well. I took her to Huntington Learning center and she is behind. My child education is the most important thing this is what we should be concerned with. We need to stop making statements like "it is the school" the school is just a building it is the teachers, facility members, students, etc that makes a school Great. I will not sign the petition because if it was not for Mr. Blount and his vision this school would not be in existence. Why kick him out? I am quit certain he has a vested interest a

If you are unhappy with the school it is your prerogative to leave. I am very happy with my teachers this year and although it has taken time I feel like the school is headed in the right direction. My eldest daughter went to Riviera Beach Maritime Academy. The school had only been open for a couple of years when we started. They were a D rated school until our Senior year. That being said it was the BEST school. The teachers were wonderful my daughter prospered and grew to be the well adjusted happy girl I always hoped her to be. Teachers make a school... Principals are figureheads...Founders create the dream. Let the dream grow. If you and your families are unhappy then LEAVE.

Let's not forget he also owns the company we are required to purchase school uniforms from.

Too bad I can't sign since we are not longer there, that school was my biggest mistake, my 2 gifted children are 2 years behind now after being at that school. Blount is a controlling manipulative man that does not care about the children but only about the money. He betrayed everyone that helped him open the school he needs to go. He has always hide things from the parents. The school is currently being suit for over $500,000 and the school district has sent them a non compliance letter, the school is at risk of being shut down. AND they are under investigation!! The IG has been working on an audit (financial investigation) for over a year. I have proof of all of this. At this point the only way the school can be saved is by the board getting rid of Blount and give control to someone that has the economic power to save it. That person does exist so if the board of directors want to save the school and be serious about children's education, they can.

I'm the mother of a student at EAA and I love this school sooooo much , if you don't like it JUST leave and don't need to talk or do something against this AMAZING school. My son love it and I don't have enough words to explain how thankful I'm with this school. The education and teachers at EAA is great and I appreciate all they HARD work. Stop the hate, stop the judging, stop the criticizing.

If there is no Greg there is no school. Thanks to Greg we have a school our kids love to be at. If you do not like the school then go and find yourself one that suits you and your kids. As to the new staff, we truly believe Dr. Copeland and Mrs. Taggart along with everyone else is working very hard so that our school outshines. Mr. Blount can not do this on his own. With that said he has an army behind him to support him and we are not letting you or anyone go over our army of love for this school. If your words are let God's will be done then follow it as it is ment. Stop pushing for something your not going to win. We stand by EAA 100% and that is why you will only stay with six signatures. Stop wasting your time. God only wants the best not does bad to no one. And along with Mr.Blounts army against the devils he stands by us. In GOD WE TRUST!!!!!

As a teacher of Eagle Arts Academy, this petition saddens me. We are all doing our best to improve the situation we are in. This Petition is only here to distract and take away attention from what truly matters.... The students. The school is NOT a joke. And without Mr. Blount there would be no school at all. So please tell me- where do you plan to school the 750 students if the school looses its funding and shuts down? (Don't worry, No need to answer) I CAN tell you that EVERY teacher and faculty is here with the greatest intentions of giving these children the best education they deserve. We all understand the frustrations of parents, and believe me the faculty is far more versed in it than you can imagine. But welcome to the Charter School system. I can assure you that we are working OUR HARDEST to improve this school as fast as we possibly can. YOU are only creating more frustration and slowing the process of what we are trying to improve. I urge you to ask any teacher what we have been up to... Our weekends, our days off and the hours after school is out are being spent solely on improving our system and ourselves as educators. Believe it or not, Mr. Blount and all the time he spends meeting with us (scheduled or not) is to thank for that, not to mention our new and very hard working principal and assistant principal.
