Boiler just 6 yrs old. Spent over £360 in parts and labour on an E125 fault over heating fault. Boiler was fine for a few hours and now daily shows E168. New PCB at another hundred odd quid ? Or new boiler ? Seems like an easy choice to me.

My 92 year old Mum's boiler is 5 years old and the engineer has tried several new parts. The fault showed up again within minutes and hours of apparently being fixed. There is obviously an inherent fault and Baxi/Potterton really should be made to fix the faulty boilers, replace them or refund the cost. They are an absolute disgrace.

Been getting this fault for a while and now the boiler has stopped working. Hadn't realized that this was such an issue. Will let the repairer know this time

This is obviously a manufacturer fault and no one can explain. As an engineer I have replaced far too mant pcb' stop clear the fault.

This situation is scandalous. How has it been allowed to continue for so long? How fortunate that this manufacturer doesn't make parts for the aerospace industry!

Annoying E168, appearing more and more frequently in the past month. Actually, the boiler is not working at all, has to be reset every 1/2 hour, works 10-15 min, then goes on error.

Potter ton Promax 4 years old fitted by British Gas. Has consistently broken down numerous times each year. Latest error, code168, British Gas coming out for the second time in one week. Don't even consider having one of these installed.

3 year old boiler. Electrodes werre replaced due to faulty design, now PCB needs to be changed due to E168, which is due to faulty design!!

E168 like everyone else on a boiler that has hardly been used, not a good advert for the Potterton boiler brand, extremely cheesed off.
