The Saturday evening Mass at Saint Mura’s has been a cherished tradition for over
forty years. As the main chapel of the parish and centrally located, it plays a vital
role in the spiritual life of our community.
As a parish community we also have concerns about the potential safety and
logistical issues that could arise from asking additional parishioners to attend Burt
Chapel.
Burt is located next to a busy main road with a speed limit of 100 km/h, and the
chapel lacks adequate parking. These factors create hazardous conditions,
particularly for those with limited mobility or families with young children. In
contrast, Fahan Chapel has ample parking and is situated on quieter, safer roads
with slower speed limits.

KEEP THE MASS IN FAHAN. There is no reason to change it.
My parents have gone to the 7:15 mass for as long as I can remeber. Its ridiculous to try and move everyone to Burt when the roads there are dangerous enough as it is.
Fahan mass is an important part of the week for a lot of elderly in it parish. They don’t get out enough as it is, to take away their Saturday night routine would be a sad case of affairs.
Our mass was the same… no consultation. (Derry (Buncrana) dioceses here). Great to get on this.
Should consider the greater community before making decisions. Happy to put my name down for the Fahan Parish :)
I really think the 715 mass should continue
It would be a shame to not have this mass in the parish church

Always went there growing up. It would be a crying shame to lose it now.
