The point of this petition is to bring awareness to the administration of St. Marguerite d'Youville that our school should hold an event that would allow students and even teachers to rap or perform slam poetry to the school. This event would be culturally significant and a great initiative for d'Youville to stand out from the other DPCDSB schools. It would also give students a chance to express themselves and social justice issues that affect them, their friends, their family or their community. Furthermore, this event would help to encourage more students to participate and speak their minds.
