DXM is a dangerous, mind-altering drug that is available to the masses over the counter in stores across the country. It is a dissociative hallucinogen, sold in most cough medicines in pharmacies and groceries nationwide. When taken in recreational doses, it alters your grip on reality, much like alcohol, but it is even more dangerous because if taken in high doses, you become dissociated from morality. I believe gruesome crimes can be committed while on DXM, such as the one we witnessed in America last weekend. DXM needs to be regulated and the side effects of this potentially fatal chemical need to be revealed.
